Dammit Windows 7… XP never did this to me.
If I create a new folder, then rename it, or rename any existing folder, whether it’s right out of the C:\ drive or located somewhere in my document folders, I get the following error:
Could not find this item
This is no longer located in C:\whatever. Verify the item's location and try again.
Clicking Try Again works and the file is renamed. I thought W7 was supposed to have fixed all the low level file operation issues that Vista introduced… Apparently not. Then, I hunted around the internets and found a registry file to execute. Download this file to your machine and double click it, which will import it into your registry. Note that it is for 64 BIT MACHINES ONLY!

Hello Friend,
I am Mr. Adada an Oil merchant in Iraq; i have been diagnosed with esophageal cancer.
It has defied all forms of medical treatment, and right now I have only about a few months
to live, according to medical experts, just recently my doctor inform me i have a few weeks
to live due to the esophageal cancer. I have not particularly lived my life so well, as I never
really cared for anyone (not even myself) but my business. Though I am very rich, I was never
generous, I was always hostile to people and only focused on my business as that was the only
thing I cared for. But now I regret all this as I now know that there is more to life than just wanting
to have or make all the money in the world. I have decided to give alms to charity organizations, as
I want this to be one of the last good deeds I do on earth. The last of my money which no one knows
of is the huge cash deposit of fifteen million dollars $15, 000, 000,00 that I have with a finance/Security
Company abroad. I will want you to help me collect this deposit and dispatched it to charity organizations.
It may interest you to know that i once asked members of my family to close one of my accounts and
distribute the money which I have there to charity organization; they refused and kept the money to
themselves. Hence, I do not trust them anymore, as they seem not to be contended with what I have
left for them.
I have set aside 10% for you and for your time.
God be with you.
Mr. Adada
That means Television, monitors, projectors, etc.
What makes an industry take off? Delivering exactly what the consumer wants, and doing so cheaply. What does the consumer want when it comes to every electronic device? A giant ass screen and a tiny computing device. Look at the iPhone, it’s all screen and a tiny CPU.
Televisions are getting flatter and flatter, with more and more inches, and getting cheaper and cheaper every generation. Here’s what I think the end all technology will be (prior to getting implants in our heads).
Imagine, you go down to the local best buy, and you purchase an aerosol can of visual spray. You take this spray home, and you coat a large section of your wall with it. This material is transparent, you can’t even tell it’s there. This material contains a light glue and millions of tiny devices. These devices are able to display millions of colors (higher than the current crappy 32 bit color I hope). These devices also have a tiny networking capability, able to communicate with their closes of neighboring devices. While the spray is still drying, the (slightly oblong) devices orient themselves vertically thanks to gravity.
Now that you’ve got yourself an entire wall sprayed with a $100 can, you set two probes against the wall and click go on a calibrating machine. This machine sends a signal to the devices, which powers them, and causes them to figure out who their nearest neighbors are. The calibrating machine (which is usually rented) takes a live capture of the wall. Hundreds of times per second the little devices blink, almost invisible to the human in the room. The calibrating device makes sure the spray on devices grab proper neighbors, figures out which areas need to be re-sprayed, calibrate colors, compensate for slightly larger holes not worth spraying by increasing current, etc.
You’ve now got yourself the largest possible visual screen for your living quarters. This screen is very affordable, as the spray on devices are manufactured very cheaply (by the time these guys are made we’ll have discovered a very efficient manufacturing process, maybe by throwing a handful of molecules into a highly tuned acidic mixture and applying precise voltages). High contrast, easy to power, high refresh rates, high resolution.
My friends think I’m crazy… I’m just seeing a couple hundred years into the future ;).
You’ll all be proud of me… I’ve finally made a playlist with a cause, instead of playing the entire library on random mode.
This is my bountiful collection of ass kicking music. No more Vivaldi during a gun fight.

I’m downloading Killing Floor in an attempt to game with the friends more. I’m not the gamer I used to be, but why not.
My Steam handle is “nucleocide”, with a display name of Rupert Styx.
Web Design and Computer Repair go together like a Race-car Driver and a Car Mechanic.
Would you ask a race-car driver to fix your car? Of course not. So, why do people always ask me to fix their computer?
So… I’m at a buddy’s house last night and we’re all playing Guitar Hero / Rock Band, and one of the games has these three songs by a band named Neversoft:
- Points of Oak
- Paint the Fires
- Feed Forward
And they all sound pretty decent. None of the three songs use vocals, just simple techno music. However, my curiosity being what it is, has revealed absolutely no information after a Google search!
I’m starting to wonder if the three songs are just ambient music used in games by the game developer Neversoft… But still nobody has mentioned the songs in the game’s song lineups.
Does anyone have more information on these songs?
